Mountain Trekking

Tanzania’s mountains vary in altitude, location and climate. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, attracts hikers from all over the world. Mount Meru (4566 metres) and Oldonyo Rengai (an active volcano) are also popular mountains. Other mountains in Tanzania include Mount Hanang (3417 metres), Mount Longido (2629 metres), Mount Usambara, Mount Oldeans and Mount Uluguru. Each mountain is unique, so it is important to be well-informed before deciding which one to climb. In Tanzania, most climbers choose Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Mount Meru is the fifth highest peak in Africa and the summit offers stunning views of Kilimanjaro and Lake Momela. The challenging climb to Oldonyo Lengai Crater takes you through spectacular scenery with panoramic views of the Rift Valley. The walk to the top of Lengai is very steep and is a real challenge that only trekkers with good fitness should take on. For most trekkers, reaching the summit is a major achievement of a lifetime. Many people think long and hard before deciding to climb Kilimanjaro – after all, it is a long journey to a remote country in Africa. Moreover, climbing Kilimanjaro is more expensive than other treks around the world. Putting all this together, you need to plan your trip carefully. There are many things to consider when planning a climb of Kilimanjaro. Lack of information and insufficient preparation are the main reasons why even young and fit hikers sometimes fail to reach the summit. On the other hand, climbers of all ages and fitness levels, armed with the right information, can confidently reach the summit.

Zanzibar Beach Holidays

The island is an ideal destination for honeymooners. It is a perfect destination to spend time together after a hectic wedding ceremony. Many honeymooners like to go to a quiet place far from crowded and hectic places. It is also a great place for those looking for a wedding venue.

A beach vacation in Zanzibar is not complete without a visit to Stone Town. Stone Town is one of the oldest cities on the African continent and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has some of the oldest architectural structures.

It’s not just Stone Town and its beaches that are history and mystery to explore.

Another iconic attraction on the island is the chili fields. Formerly known as the Spice Island, Zanzibar is one of the best places to go for an aromatic spice tour. Spices were discovered here as early as the 16th century. They were brought to the island by Portuguese traders and Zanzibar later became the center of spice culture.

You can join a spice tour to the fields where the spices are grown, which the locals call Shamba. During the spice tour you can smell and taste cloves, lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, nutmeg, papaya, chili, black pepper, breadfruit, cardamom and cassava. You can also bring some with you.
